Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) helps organizations understand their current level of capability and performance in the context of their own business objectives compared to best practice industry benchmarks.
Your organization can be appraised at five different maturity levels for processes: initial, managed, defined, quantitatively managed and optimizing. The most common levels we see are CMMI Maturity Level 2 or Level 3 for development/service.

A CMMI appraisal is an activity that identifies the strengths and weaknesses of your business processes and how they relate to CMMI best practices. A Lead Appraiser conducts your appraisal once Core Business Solutions assists in you being prepared.
Once you have achieved Level 2, you can progress to Maturity Level 3. In addition to the Maturity Level there are 3 classes of SCAMPI appraisals: SCAMPI A, B and C. The appraisals are all part of becoming compliant to CMMI.
